1. Be Dazzled by Djemaa el Fna

The Saadians were an Arabian dynasty that ruled much of southern Morocco in the 16th and 17th centuries, and this tombs contains more than 200 members of the family line. The tomb was sealed, only to be rediscovered in 1917, revealing lavish decorations and stunning attention to detail.

Just dive right into the maze of streets that comprise the north side of Djemaa el Fna. Often teeming with locals and visitors, the souks are a labyrinth of stands and vendors selling everything you could imagine, from kaftans to carpets.
