Tokyo Anime Fair - Japan
When: 25 March 2010 - 28 March 2010
Tokyo is considered the spiritual home of this highly stylized form of animation and around 100,000 anime enthusiasts and 800 exhibitors from across the globe flock to the Tokyo Anime Fair.
A relatively young event, it has grown rapidly since its inception in 2002 and is by far the biggest of its kind in the world today. The fair is held in Spring, between March and April.
Aside from the massive four day trade show, award ceremonies lavish official praise on the year’s most highly regarded efforts while symposiums cover a wide range of issues integral to the industry.
For those who fancy trying their hand, there’s even the chance to take workshops in all aspects of anime, from the hand drawn to the computer-generated.
