Potsdamer Platz Winter Sledging - Germany

Every winter the Potsdamer Platz district of Berlin hosts a sledging event on a manmade ice-slide assembled in the square. Surrounded by a vibrant Christmas market, the slide proves to be hugely popular during the run up to Christmas.
German Christmas markets are a truly special affair, with various delicacies on offer. Sampling some of the hot wines and gingerbread - and finishing perhaps with a slice of Black Forest cake - is a great way to mix typical festive indulgence with a cultural experience.
