Things to Do in Nice

Though there isn’t much of the castle left, stunning views of Nice make the hike up the hill worth it. Make sure you don’t miss out on the winding streets of the surrounding area, Vieux Nice.

Open every day, a variety of natural produce, from flowers to chickens, is sold in the Cours Saleya. You can spend hours perusing the wares at this classically beautiful Niçoise market.

Running along the water’s edge, the promenade has a seriously active nightlife. Pull up a chair, order a drink and watch the sun set across the bay before it really gets going.

Nice’s food is French with an Italian twist. Get a bottle of good, cheap wine to go with some Pissaldière (onion and anchovy pizza) or bouillabaisse (fish stew).
