Festival of Lights - France

In December, Lyon lights up for the Festival of Lights with aims to showcase the city's finest landmarks with creative displays and imagery.
Lesser-known sights and local hotspots are also given a makeover with the help of a little imaginative illuminations. In addition, several bridges dotted throughout the city are reshaped by the light beams.
Signs created by beams of light show tourists the way to various landmarks and stages which are set up for the duration of the festival to teach visitors about the city's history.
