Revelry at the Festival
Isle of Wight Festival - England

The Isle of Wight Festival started, slightly unusually, as a way to raise funds for the local swimming pool. But within a few years the festival was attracting thousands of people to the island for its now legendary music and line-ups.
The large crowds concerned authorities and the festival was actually cancelled in 1971. 2002 saw its revival, however, and it’s been going strong ever since, frequently winning 'festival of the year' awards.
The popular event is normally held in early June and rolls out a series of the biggest bands and DJs from an international stage.
