One of Europe's liveliest music festivals hits the port of Roskilde in Denmark every June, where music fans trek down to the edge of a North Sea fjord to hear some of the biggest names in rock.
The Roskilde Festival began in 1971 and has seen an increase in popularity ever since. It also has a strong social-awareness vibe, with profits going to human rights charities.
Glass and plastic bottles are not allowed at the event itself but the living area is divided into sections for cooking, washing and meeting.
