Colombia's premier music festival takes place in November and around 300,000 people descend on Bogota for the Rock al Parque, or 'Rock in the Park.' Bogota's Simon Bolivar Park is the venue for this huge event which is inevitably packed to the limit with revelers.
Rock in the Park has grown into one of the biggest and best music festivals in South America, with performers coming from across the world to take part. With international and local bands on the playlist, there’s something for all music fans, whether you enjoy Latin music or prefer other genres.
Ahead of the event itself, a number of local bands compete against each other for the privilege of getting onto the bill. As such, the weeks before the concert see groups playing at venues across Bogota to try to get in on the act.
