Getting Around Santiago de Chile: Transport Tips and Advice

Transport in Santiago de Chile

Santiago is easily accessible by plane or bus. Planes fly direct from major European and South American cities to the Arturo Merino Benitez Airport, which is connected to the city by the blue Centropuerto bus.

Buses arrive from other major South American destinations into one of four bus terminals; international services from the south tend to arrive at the Terminal de Buses Santiago and buses from Northern Chile go to the Terminal San Borja.

A network of metro and bus lines connect inner Santiago. The cheap yellow buses are the most popular form of transport amongst the locals. However, if these seem a bit too disorientating, taxis are plentiful and relatively inexpensive.
