Caribana Summer Carnival - Canada
When: 01 July 2009 - 31 August 2009
Originally a gift from Canada’s West Indian community in the mid-1960s, Caribana - held between July and August - is now an all-encompassing festival that brings crowds together to celebrate Caribbean culture with a massive street party.
Considered to be North America’s largest street parade, the carnival lasts for a week each summer before culminating with the magnificent ‘Parade of Bands’ on the final weekend.
Expect steel pans, calypso, color and heaps of fun!
