Housed in the rooms Freud himself used between 1891 and 1938, the museum traces the findings and practices of the father of psychoanalysis. A collection of contemporary art is also on display.

One of the ten largest cultural districts in the world, Vienna’s museum quarter includes twenty major artistic institutions. Of particular note are the Kunsthalle Wien and the Leopold Museum.

Mozart’s Geburtshaus (or birthplace) is found in Salzburg, and is twinned with the composer’s Family House. The building is now a museum that traces his life through exhibits of memorabilia and letters.

This baroque complex in Vienna was built under the supervision of Prince Eugene Savoy in the 18th century. It includes a variety of beautifully ornate decorations by Martino Altomonte.

Hoher Dachstein is the second highest mountain in the Northern Limestone Alps. Apart from the dramatic scenery, its importance lies in the network of sub-zero caves buried deep within its mound, and the well-preserved fossils it has consistently yielded up.
