Sleaze Ball - Australia
When: 01 October 2009 - 31 October 2009
As part of Sydney's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, the Sleaze Ball is the edgy alternative party that keeps the more outgoing revelers amused during the festival weekend. The Sleaze Ball is the one remaining constant in a forever-changing festival lineup, and happens in October.
Each year a theme is chosen for the costumes and party atmosphere, with previous years being styled on 'Porn' and 'Sinsuality'. The theme dictates everything from the drinks being served to the kind of dancers on show.
Costumes verge on being completely crazy and the tone of behavior is set by the organizers as being – expectedly – sleazy. Live performances and top DJ's make this a night to remember and the club is turned into something visually spectacular.
Some 18,000 people turn out every year for this all-night party of debauchery and mayhem; something that the Sleaze has been proud of since 1982.
