Sculpture by the Sea occurs during March and brings together 50 sculptures on the stunning Cottesloe Beach in Perth, transforming the sandy flats into an intriguing landscape. The exhibition is free to everyone, with Australia's leading sculptors putting forward a range of abstract works.
Previous pieces have included a beach tree with a canopy attached to its top, forming an innovative sun parasol. There have been more conventional sculptures, with colorful shapes and imaginative designs dotted along the beach areas.
There’s also an innovative educational program for artists to engage with the sculptures and learn how they interact with the environment.
