Oktoberfest beer prices are on the rise
Beer prices may be rising, but you can enjoy Oktoberfest 2009 on a budget with HostelBookers
It’s official: the price of a pint has gone up again for Oktoberfest 2009. Munich City Council have announced a price increase of 3.8% from last year, with the average cost of one litre of beer 8.44 Euros.
The news will come as a blow to fans of the annual beer fest, with prices already hiked up an extra 5% in 2008. 6 million litres of Bavarian beer are drunk at the festival every year, believed to be the best in the world for its ‘pure’ mix of hops, barley and water.
The recent price hikes may be enough to put anyone off knocking back a few, but you can still see Oktoberfest 2009 on a budget with HostelBookers.
