Celebrate St Patrick's Day with HostelBookers

01-Mar-2009

St Patrick’s Day is no longer just a holiday in Ireland; there are parades and festivals on March 17 right around the globe! Historically commemorating the patron saint credited with ‘driving out the snakes’ from Ireland, St Patrick’s Day is now a celebration of all-things Irish, from pints of Guinness to mythology and the colour green. For the best deals on budget accommodation to join in with this worldwide event, look no further than www.hostelbookers.com

Dublin
Dublin is always going to be one of the top choices for soaking up the atmosphere, and the city center certainly does St Patrick's Day in style. There are five days and nights of fantastic events, most of whihc are free! From March 13 to 17 2009, there is music, street theatre, family carnivals, comedy, street performances, dancing, a treasure hunt, night spectacles… all culminating on March 17 with the world-famous parade.

Availability for this popular event can still be found at the Jackson Court Hotel, located in central Dublin, just five minutes walk from Stephens Green and Grafton Street. Prices start from £78 for a private double en-suite room.

The Al Sharq Hotel is just 15km outside of Dubai with 49 rooms equipped with TV, satellite channels, telephone, air conditioning and mini bars. The hotel has easy access to all the shopping centres, art museums, heritage areas and beaches for which Dubai is famous. Prices start from just £19.50 for a private triple en-suite.
